Verify all of the information given on the screening result, and compare it to the information your applicant has given to you. Most criminal background results will come back with a physical description, and some even result in photos. Also, most results will provide the age of the person - check that against your applicant's birthday and see if there's a match. Accurate screening requires some analysis, and it's important to be thorough when examining the details.
